Rebel Rok is more than just a trendy T-shirt design and manufacturing company; it’s a movement centered on the belief that self-expression is the most important building-block of success and happiness.

CEO Menes Morris founded Rebel Rok with the philosophy that, to live with the integrity that success and happiness requires, one needs to embrace the uniqueness in all of us. This philosophy has led him to study popular counter-culture movements within the U.S. and internationally. From his studies, Morris noted that there are three driving principles that lead many counter-culture aficionados to embrace their chosen sub-culture:

• They’ve had a history of not liking their jobs or places in life
• Too many had gone into debt in an effort to fit into the mainstream masses
• Their association with their sub-culture was largely as a result of their efforts to remove themselves from lifestyles that had grown to be burdensome

To help his customers feel more comfortable embracing their own authenticity, Morris asks them how they would respond to the age-old question: What Would Like to Be When You Grow Up. The answers, for many people, include things like, “Make a difference,” “Have a job I love,” “Do what I believe.”

For Morris, the answer to that simple question was obvious: build a unique clothing empire that would enable customers to express themselves and show solidarity with causes in which they believe. Each line of Rebel Rok apparel is designed to promote a different cause or ideal, including topics that are religious, controversial, sexual, political, athletically-themed, and more. Rebel Rok is not just about being trendy and hip; it’s about truly owning and expressing one’s beliefs.
